First time on new forum. Used other one regularly and often had some great advice and help from some very nice people, ThankYou, bought stuff to.
Been into cars since late seventies, had a `souped up` cortina 1600 gt !, but used to drool over a local Pop called `Hollywood Knight` built and owned by Ted Knight. Did an aprenticeship on trucks and mainly worked in engineering all my life. Been to a lot of shows over the years, but what with having a family etc could never really afford to have my own rod. About 8 years ago bought a upright 53 Anglia body / chassis and started building. Still in progress!, but the good news is, about 5 years ago I bought a 54 Pop RV8 project and spent 18 months rebuilding and had it on the road for past 3 years, just had 3rd MOT.
Like all styles of Rods and Kustoms. Favourite cars are Pops because they`re brittish tin, also 3 or 5 window 32 ford and 41 wilys coupe. My dream car would be a steel 3 or 5 window 32 coupe done in a traditional style, well maybe someday!. Like the Drags and want to run my Pop up the strip sometime soon.
Cheers......Jim
