Sunday 14th September - PICNIC IN THE FOREST - ICENI Custom, American and Rods (C.A.R.) Club annual event - an informal get-together at High Lodge in Thetford Forest Park on the Norfolk / Suffolk border. Kids amenities and large play area, food available. Entrance off the B1107 five miles from the A11 at Thetford towards Brandon. Forest Toll charge applies. From 10am.

But it looks like you have clashed with the drags at shakey,could you not set another date as all us Wisbech guys were looking for a repeat of last year as we all had a great day out,but sadly we are all heading for the drags that weekend.

for those of you who ARE coming...
the stupid forestry have decided to put up barriers and ruin all out plans...
we usually offer a discount for rods, kustoms etc, but this year, we cant do this, due to the barriers...
but we haven't given up, talking to the manager person about the situation, and he may come up with an idea...to by-pass the barriers or something

so there may well be a re-venue next year.

but the pop may well be there for those who are interested.. :)

We have always had the Picnic on the second w/e, so the drags have clashed with us, maybe we will see you on the Brass Monkey Run, have fun at the drags.

i'll reply for him..
theres not one standard rate... as of the barriers, there are now a choice of different amounts of time, each charging a different amount of money... (like 'Pay And Display' car parks)
i shall make a point of going up there tomorrow if i remember and write down the costs and let you guys know..
or 66chev may well know the rates and not of told me.. we shall find out tomorrow...

as i said i would, i went for a nice morning bike ride up to the forest (only about a mile up the road) but of course both of our bikes tried to kill us.... damn things!

up to 1 hour, its £2.00
1 to 4 hours is £6.00
and over 4 hours is £7.00

i hope you'll all be choosing the over 4 hours option ;)
right... now to start work on the pop..
