Check the following flic. It has been edited and it is a bit long, but somewhere you'll see my roadster catch fire. Serious fire. I thought I'd lost it, 8 years work gone in two minutes...but fortunately we managed to put it out !

Cause was a leaking inline fuelfilter, leaking petrol back into the braided part of the fuel line, fire from the firewall (pun intended) all the way back to the fuel pump. Probably ignited by someone's wris****ch striking the nearby startersolenoid.
In the end, nearly no damage, just a knackered fuel pump.

Good video Erwin, pretty scary stuff with the fire. Those flames were looking quite serious for a while there !!!!!!!!!!!!

cant believe the camera man kept filming either, he could have a least helped put the flames out.. think i would have been paranoid of leaving the car in the garage until i knew there was absolutely no chance of it being burnt out during the night.

on the plus side, music was good :D

Beer is allways kept in temperature controlled environment, it is called a refrigerator. It is by far the tool most used in my workshop...
I do have a fireextinguisher, but is the powder-type, I am in a way glad we didn't use it. In the end it went out with a bucket of water (I did had that nearby) and bursts of compressed air.
We smoked our "happy-ending-sigarettes" outside though, petrolsmell was all around us !
It should be running tonight, when the new petrolpump has been hooked up. It started on brake cleaner last tuesday.
