My name is Jamie, I hail from Kingston Upon Thames but was born in OZ. My Dad was a car dealer and so iwas around cars since forever. I learnt to drive a manual car when i was about 5 sitting on the old mans lap crunching through the gears on a property in the bush. The sleek lines of ferraris and lambo's never got me going but the day i first laid eyes on a Ford Falcon Phase 3 GTHO ( bathurst champion) was the day the petrol truly started pumping through my vains. Since then its been V8's all the way. My Dad was a semi pro rally driver, my mum did her fair share of quarter mile action and my aunt held the womens street car quarter record for about 3 years in the early 80's. Safe to say its in the family.
My rides have been drastically different over the years starting with a aussie zd ford fairlaine with a 302, 69 camaro, 84 camaro, 72 riviera, 73 riviera a brief stint in a 540 bmw (i thought i might try and grow up and be normal) that didn't even get close, then i got my current ride a F150 Lightning. I don't care what clarkson said about it, its wicked. Looks awesome, sounds the b*ll*x and goes like hell. The lightning gets me to work and back but the weekend is for my 1970 Pontiac Le Mans Sport, big block built by Jon Sleath Racing. She goes like a rocket! Unfortunately she has to go...credit crunch and all that (cheers Gordon Brown ).
So thats my intro, hope it ticks all the necessary boxes. See you all on the road!
