Don't know if this should be here or in the Technical forum, but I need a fitting (a couple, in fact) with 7/16" UNF Female to 3/8" Male threads. This allows the installed 1/4" brake pipe to connect to 3/16" flexy hose at the rear axle. For some reason everyone around here has gone metric, and don't have anything.

andy think ive got the fittings you are after. will get some pics tonight and get them off to you. if its what you need send me your address and I will get them in the post.

EDIT - after reading your post again ive got adapters which have a 7/16 male on one end and a 3/8 female on the other whereas you need the other way - try www.thinkauto.com (http://www.thinkauto.com) or miles at namco, mike at saturn might keep them as well - you do get them because sacramento vintage ford keep them, part no. 12005-15 . also got a couple of spare flexis which have 7/16 ends on them if that helps?

Hi Mark, thanks, yes I think I need the opposite to what you have. I think yours would allow the use of 3/16" pipe with early Ford 1/4" brake cylinders, but I have later Ford cylinders with 3/16" fittings on my pickup, but it is plumbed with 1/4" pipe (F-250 with F-100 axles and brakes).

I will probably need some like yours when I eventually get round to changing the '34 brakes, but the truck is the priority for this month at least!
