What a brilliant day, we showed up with The Hummer in tow (less engine & trans) to an empty parking lot at the NHRA Museum, it wasn't long before the race car trailers started to show up,before too long there was an eclectic collection of 60's & 70's era race cars & Hot Rods to make quite the show. Once the sun came out , the candy & chrome started to sparkle, The BBQ was enjoyed, the Museum visited & we were treated to a cackle fest .Brilliant day, John O'Connell & his wife came out & brought ma an array of trophies won by The Hummer in the late 60's, we met some more really cool old geezers, they really are Still Crazy After All These Years.

Those were the ones they put on in 1965, the rears are small window Halibrands, I had big windows on but now I've got the right wheels with the M&H racing slicks , it is rad I love it.

Dave I got a photobucket account put the pictures in, deleted the big file pix & now I can't get them onto my downloads. I'm too tired to try again I'm off to bed. I'll try again tomorrow , it all seemed so easy :(

They do these celebrations at the Museum, the first was Blair's Speedshop ,it was a good event, really laid back ,lots of cool old geezers telling tales.
