Can anyone advise me on the pros and cons of running a SBC with rocker covers without any pcv's or oil filler access. Similar to the Cal Custom ones.
Obviously the Oil Filler will have to be on the inlet manifold but what other problems are likely to exist with engine breathing etc.

if you run cal custom covers without a pcv somewhere you will get oil coming out the oil fill tube on the manifold, the oil fill tube it acts as a road draft tube
ive run cal custom covers for 6 years and never had any trouble with engine breathing etc. only get a bit of oil out the oil fill tube.

i run edelbrk nostalgia covers w/o breathers or pcv just got filler tube on the front of torker inlet used to get small puddle of oil on inlet but have since cured it by arbouring a hole big enough for a baffled grometand put a breather behind the carb and between the dizzy so it vents the lifter valley i also sealed up the holes in the filler tube cap it works fine on my sbc 383
