Well got out this morning nice and early for work jumped in the truck (51 f3) turned it over till the battery started giving out, absolutley nothing !!!!!!!! This happened on friday too, ended up losing the day as the truck was blocking the rod in the carport.
I spent most of friday getting said truck running, and presumed I had sorted it. Saturday morning brought the same thing, cranked over and over but no joy. Charged the battery all saturday. Sunday morning it started first turn, drove it around no problems. Here we are back at this morning , truck totally reluctant to start.
No worries as I had got the rod out of the carport just in case (good plan). Its now getting late and I am getting closer to losing a weeks bonus before I even start. Jump in the rod, which has sat in the rain all night. Nice !!!!!!!!!!! Its 6.20 in the morning , furking cold Iv'e left all my wet weather gear in the boot and its soaked through, gloves are somewhere in the house along with the hat. Ho Hum.
I cranked the rod over and it fires first time , its then that I realise that I really should have remembered to put the header plugs back in !!!!!!!!! Doh. Too late now.
From there on it just got better and better. Thrashed the rod to work (20 miles), numb hands , cold head (guess thats what hair is for...lol), and the biggest smile ever.
Didn't even try to start the truck tonight, just filled up the tank on the rod instead.
There's no other car that I have owned that has put a smile on my face as often as the Rod has.
Paul.
