oy i`m always on time.....theres a 4th clock on the 2nd page.....these are the first of a series of 14 diner/workshop clocks using my artwork

One of those clocks would look good on the wall, but I suppose the backlighting is US 110V, it's a shame, would end up doing the smoke test on one of those in the UK.

Question Tim: Did you have licensing issues with using recognisable company cars (Chevrolet) in products on an American commerce site? I did when a picture I took was used to try and sell a T-Shirt (I didn't sell any). The car was a British Ford Pop Gasser. The hosting company <a href="http://www.cafepress.com/">http://www.cafepress.com/</a> withdrew my own personally photographed & photoshop manipulated image/photo. They left it in the hands of a Ford representative lawyer. Needless to say, I was after making a few quid off what I thought was an attractive image and my art work. They had different ideas.
I don't want this to become a long drawn out discussion (It'll get locked - I'm not NSRA, I'm SKINT), but are you aware of such issues?
we are well aware of the licencing/release issues as we're trying to make a TV programe at the moment and it's a legal nightmare......if a logo appears on screen it needs either a release from giving us permission to show it (big US companies want big bucks to allow you to do that) or we got to blank it out....why do you think you get those fuzzy bits in the background and moving around on peoples T-shirts on American Hot Rod???

i had to sign a very lengthy contract over these...and any bother falls on the company making the clocks not me...i made sure of that....the guy company who make them have been doing it for a while now and if you look at some of them on there they are blatant in their use of company logos...i`m not gonna divulge the guys turnover but it is quite a big affair....

do you reckon theres some all seeing all knowing eye out there that waits for people to try and better themselves and clobbers them just for the fun of it....i prefer the world we lived in 20 years ago...the hot rods are better now though

I suspect it is just that the likes of Ford (are we allowed to even use the name?) are so desperate for cash that they will screw any penny they can, where ever they can.
I would also suggest that as long as they get some $$$ out of it they couldn't give a damn what it is on - hence all the cheap **** Chinese repro junk with "Authorised" stickers.

the ford and chevrolet we know and love from days gone by are lightyears away from the corporate bull5hit they peddle these days...we all ought to get together and sue them for ruining the names
