Found these too. Taken at a big event at Brands but I don't remember when. (I do remember a flypast by Concorde though.)

The rods did a lap or two during the luch break I think.

Wasn't that the Grand Prix for Custard Tart?

I remember the Vulcan turning skyward right over the grandstand - also bunking in by the start - finish line to watch the race - about 10 or 12 of us - everytime the security old boy looked round to watch Mansell come round the corner, anothe rone of us legged it in!

Not forgetting Clive Prew, after explaining how we should all be on our best behaviour as we were representing the hobby which was somewaht frowned upon by the main stream etc etc...

Anyway, Clive was in the back of Milton's 58 Impala and as we came round the main straight, he dropped his trousers and mooned the whole way along it!

Faaarkin excellent!

Went to a couple of Truck Racing events at Brands Hatch a couple of times in the late 80's the red A was Steve Ottleys, the T behind it was Tim Horsfalls which went to Ireland, had a parade lap around the track during the lunch break, was told not to speed!

I think those pics were taken in 1987. I went in '86 and took these pics........ http://www.timetraveldvds.co.uk/gallery/BRANDS%20HATCH%20APRIL%20'86/index.html

There were a few rods and customs at Brands Hatch in 1975. Anybody on here remember this gathering reported in Custom Car magazine....... http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m149/timetraveldvds/98006.jpg

Nice one Nick. Nice to see Nykelodeon there, but who's is the roadster alongside it? Looks familiar.

Maurice, The roadster was a genuine '32 Cabriolet and was featured in the first CC I ever bought, June 1975. It was owned by Russell Ward, the feature says it was built for under a grand! Bought for a £175 in 1972 as a junker too. Cadillac 331ci powered.

Actually that wasn't the first CC I ever bought, that was June '74 with Ed Wimble's T on the cover.

The Green A is Nick the Cakes old car. Went on to be blue and was featured in CC as a How to Flame your car article with good old Gary Constable.

Now that was a quick car.

It also says in the feature that it was a Canadian built car, Forum member 'Ddooce' aka David Waring also had a Canadian-built '32 Cabriolet in the early days of British rodding, he still owns it and took it to Memphis when he emigrated to the USA.

The red Squire at the top of the page belonged to a mate of mine, Danny Yewell, he owned it from the age of 12. It was for sale as an unfinished project at Knebworth, it had been very heavily chopped by TC Bodymods & was on a Gary Layton chassis.

The red '57 four door pillarless belonged to a bloke called Bruno, he was a member of the Morons.

Dave Munson took his '63 Imperial convertible round Silverstone many years ago for the Coys Festival. I think he dropped his trousers but he wasn't mooning. :D:D:D

What's happened to Dave? Has he forsaken US iron for BL tat? He lives/lived (not sure if he's moved yet) a mile away from me & I always look to see what's in his drive as I go by, but lately, all I see are Wolsely Hornets!!!!:D
