The MK2 Zephyr was called " True Blue "

I was 8 or 9 years old when I went to my 1st ever " Chelsea Cruise " in that car back in 78 / 79..... It was owned at the time by Dean Edwards from Brockley..... But formally owned by Bill Knight I believe.?:)

I remember that show very well. JBs sedan was parked near my roadster, and when it got to about 3pm he wanted to go home so some friends just ripped down the wooden barriers so he could drive out through isles still filled with visiting public... [:O]

I thought it was Will Hills Mk2, he's still got it.

The red '32 5 window, ninth down on the left, was Alan Butchers, ran a 351 & was a CC cover car at the time

I used to love those big indoor shows Steve. They were a great chance for a winters weekend get together and to checkout all the new cars for that year.
I remember being payed gas money for showing my roadster at Ally Pally!.

As Ian said, it was Bryan Godbers plate. He used it on most all of his creations from his "Sneaky" trike to "Havoc" and the Escort van...

I used to sell the show guides for those shows, produced & printed by my friend Dave Watts who became the track manager at SPR.

Not only Jeff Becks, but the famous Super Prune, one of the 75 most significant Dueces at the 2007 GNRS. Check out page 58 of Rodders Journal 36 to see what it looks like now.

One of Jeffs cars Chris, but not the `Prune` which was a golden/bronze colour with stripped flames down the side.
The car at Ally Pally was a totally different sedan. Originally bought over with that salmony/pink and pearl tangerine panel paint job and fitted with chrome wires, it turned up at the show wearing those 10 spokes and white walls...
