No idea when these were taken, some of these you may know, others you may have forgot about.
Would be VERY interested in any info on the candy 32 five window.

At a guess I'd go for 82. Mark Tanner and Keith Harvie's A pickups, Simon Lane's roadster, Tom Newman's Corsair and Steve Cheetham's ? (maybe not but one of the Cheshire crew, Chris Hay will be able to give a name check) A Cabriolet.

I'm pretty sure it was a gennie A cabriolet, like I said, Chris Hay, or Ian Armstrong will know for certain. The yellow 3 window (DeSoto?) with the wires is the one that Mick Tebbs' mate is currently rebuilding.
I would say it`s `82 and it`s Billing. In the background behind the black A pickup is my ex`s `70 Caddy "Dedication" and that was the year it went to Billing, towing my partialy completed roadster...

Deffo, a Nash, when it looked its best before going pink, think it one the big prize than to, also Roger and Lisa's C Cab, Triple P Trucking co, brought that cat to my wedding 22 years ago, have'nt seen them or the car for years know, but its all stored away............
used to see the cherry red Jago in Newquay for many years..........

I'm pretty sure its 1983.
That's Tom Newman's Corsair (Tom's at the wheel) with a couple of other Orwell Valley Cruisers stood by the car. It was the first Nats for this car - Tom was in a rush to get it ready and he didn't have time to fit the rear quarter windows. I was at this Nats in my Consul Capri. Happy days...:)
EDIT: Just confirmed with Trev/Digger (and Ness, the bloke in the hat facing the camera) that this pic was taken at the 1983 Nats.

I would agree Brizey.
As a side note Mark Tanner is currently rebuilding his 29 Pick up.

If that`s the case Jim, there must be some Nats photos mixed in with `82 Billing pics, because at least 4, maybe 5 cars are showing the large yellow Billing windshield registration Stickers. Also, the red Sherpa van in the last pic was mine.[:O]
I lent it to a friend to take some of his mates to Billing that year and that was the only time it went near a weekend rod show, likewise my ex`s previously mentioned Caddy, and I know that never went to an NASC show??...

I think those pics must be a mixed lot, Brian - it definitely looks like Billing in the background of some of them but I'm certain the pic of Tom's car was taken at Knebworth in 83. Here's one of my pics from that year's Nats - you can clearly see the quarter window is missing.

No, it was candy but there was another 5w that WAS metalflake, think that one was featured in CC.
Russ, yep I think it was Roy Nash (although I kept thinking it was Chris Nash). I recall him telling me that he was going to get paid a crap load of money to get ZZ Top graphics put on the car and then it was going to the 'Monsters of Rock' show when ZZ Top were headlining. And yeah, they knew it wasnt the right model or year but said the punters wouldnt know any different !!!
I never saw him or the car again.....anyone know where it went ?

The guy who owned the cabriolet was Steve Henshaw, he told me it was made from a sedan.

The 'thanks' section on the Hillman Husky featured in March '07 CC, mentions a Steve Henshaw........the same guy ??
Anyone on here who knows him, can you put me in touch, cheers.

Almost certainly, Steve and Chris Hay were mates back then. When Steve had the A, Chris had his first Husky, the orange panelled 'Rapid Plumbing' van. (and yes it was a panelled, Husky, not a Commer Cob).

Hey Kim - or is that Snowy the Dog?
You're right, it is Roy's candy Scarlet 32 coupe, from Hemel and yep it did get ZZ Top graphics down the side - in painted masking tape I seem to recall...
Roy sold it to, can't remember his name - fireman, had a lovely '34 later on, the 289 Hi Po was damaged in the frost I seem to remember, and was replaced with a 351 C, then it went to a surfer in Cornwall who, as far as I know, still has it, now painted satin(?) black.
Lovely car that - 4-speed manuel, went like stink...

HEY SNOWY!
The low down on ROY' old 32, which was candy red, is that it now belongs to a guy called Chris Simons if my memory serves me right and it is back in Herts. Jon got the rest right though.
