been twice, first time was when mike collins was there with his freshley painted 6 cyl camaro, walked over to the wash house one morning, towel over shoulder, walked around the corner to see a pigs head sat on the windscreen... great place, great times!

I did it back when it was just a holiday for the Surrey Street Rodders and Southern Roadsters.First one they did I think?

Did it a few times afterwards with just a couple of other rodders. Ended bringing back a Mk 1 Consul we found on a garage forecourt..I won't go into the lack of legalities or the distraction tactics used my my mates other half when he broke down on the long hill ( SAGA moment ) and had to get a passing Policeman to tow us to safety .

went to one of there surfing leasons, got nowhere during the mornings surfing, ploughed in for one last effort, didnt look at the colour of the board, jumped on and smashed myself in the nads with the fin, cos i was the wrong way up... that was the last time i had a go at that! best go to the bar for the rest of the week then...

Basically organized by my wife, we got married in July and went on our honeymoon with about 30 others from the Surrey Street Rodders (and some from the Maidenhead Rod & Custom Club) inc Martin Bonner, Paul & Sally Henwood, Keith & Anne Glassborough, the Penfolds, Keith Seume, Steve & Lin Blomfield, Rob Choularton, Will Newbert, Slim...and you??

Remember dirt biking on the sand, turning the tea kiosk around (don't ask!:rolleyes:), and the disco...

Did Skewjack in the early 70's
Don't really remember a lot about the 2 weeks there............maybe something to with the beer........ just that we seemed to be the only 2 guys from Oooop North and the motor (1500 Anglia) packed up on the way home in St Ives and its a long way to hitch a ride home and even further to go back the week after with the trailer.....!!

Paul, yup, you're right that WAS the year, vaguely remember something about honeymoons! Silver Surrfer Beetle ...someone stuck on the beach that needed towing out?...it was a loooong time ago and I was very veeerry drunk !LOL? ..
