Cool , is the owner a member here ?.

I guess there must be a lot of gen 2 Novas in the UK now but when I brought that one in the only other one I'd seen in the UK was RHD , orange with a black vinyl roof .

the only RHD nova i've seen was a 6 cyl 67 that i looked at to buy with fire damage,
since been rebuilt and shipped to canada when the guy emigrated.

your old 67 has been through a few owners, the ones i know of are Roger Butterworth who ran 11s in it,
a guy local to me in Herts had it several years but never used it,
a car dealer also had it for a while,
the guy that owns it now is a surrey muscle club member who bought it from the car dealer as a rolling shell.

gary was the rhd 1 you knew of a yellow ss seem to remember seeing 1 at blake hall many years ago
also remember a 66/67 estate that had the side windows pannelled in was tubbed and raced
was it bob holland who shipped in a red 67 ss in 86 remember it advertised in the back window of a car at garys picnic went to thamesmead straight from the pod and a mate bought it started my passion for novas
know of about 10 62/65 novas and 10 66/67 novas over here

I got it from some wheeler-dealer out Woking way I think (advertised in the TV Trader), then sold it in about '96 to help finance a Harley. I think the buyer was a Dave Wiggins? He had a '65 Nova race car at the time.

dave wiggins still had it in 07 when i spoke to him at wheelsday that year andy told him the bonnet is now on my nova
think dave has
62 convertable
63 hardtop/racecar (not 65)
65 estate
think he had a 4 door parts car aswell cant remember what year

Probably the same RHD car , I used to have a couple of pics if it that I'll try and find , only ever saw it a couple of times at the Pod .

I sold mine to a guy who paid 1/2 the money and promised the rest within a month , when he started messing me about Roger just paid me and went and got it .
When I bought it the guy said the engine was all fresh and would need running in ( yeah right lol) , I'd only had it back in the UK for a few days when I took it to Gary's Picnic. It ran a 13 on the first run and the ends went on the second run so I guess the guy was kinda telling the truth . Speaking to Roger after he started working on it he said the engine was all fresh but the oil pump mating surface was warped , it sucked in some air and that was that !

Bob bought the red 67 SS from the same place and on the same day I bought my 50 Chevy 2dr fastback mentioned in the online carshow thread . I remember Dave Wiggins came to my place one time to buy a slick shifted Super T-10 and vertical gate shifter to put in mikeyboy's 55 .

the 67 i looked at was an SS and originally yellow on an E reg plate,
the 67 panelled estate was Tony Sewells, then Larry Ward had it, fitted the bead rolled sides over the windows and painted it yellow, when Larry had it, it had a t/rammed 327,
tube axle front and a shagged narrowed olds rear, custom car featured it around 1990 when Larry owned it, another friend of ours owned it a while then i think sold it to the draper bros?,
ended up with Roy Rudge from surrey area who broke it.

That's jogged the old memory banks , I remember when he had that . I bought a 62 Impala coupe from him - the one that became Tracys . His mate Mick had a nice 37 Ford Cpe roller that he was trying to sell at the same time , £3,500 iirc .

Here's another pic of the Nova at Gary's Picnic next to my mates 38 Olds coupe parked up at Rogers 'BFG Hospitality trailer' . I think Roger had one of the BFG/Colin Blower 911's there that weekend .

That Nova was in the Erdington area of Birmingham for years. It was a running, driving car before the fire. Steve Tristram bought it and kept it for a few years but sold it years back who as you say, took it to Canada with him a while back, but not before it had been fitted with full late Vette running gear and painted Audi green by Mick Wilkes at Wackey Racers in Brierley Hill.

Dave Wiggins was at my place recently,( 2 months ago ) buying some early Nova parts off me, front wings, etc. he still has all those cars apparantly, including the red wagon.

Anybody remember my '65 4 door? Ran in Super Street, in the mid 80's? Ran a 10.6 on a 350 Chevy + 100hp shot of nitrous, street driven too, until I blew it up at Avon Park!!

Well, not too sure about the '65 4 door, I sadly had to leave mine at my old lock up in Micheldever, Hants, because I had nowhere to store it, that was in about 1995. i took everything I could off it, axle, vin tags, but had to leave all the panels, doors etc. what's the history of the blue one?

With regards to the '66, the front suspension is off, to be re-designed as I lowered the car to how i want it and all the A-arms are out of alignment now! Engine is sat ready to go as is the TH350, I have a set of new 15" Rallye rims to go on the car but I might leave the Welds on, not too sure yet. Hopeful to be out next year.

one of our club members owned the 65 4dr about 6-7 years ago,
apparently it had ran 10s?-11s? with a hot 383,
bit too quick and juicy for him so moved it on,
the present owner has had it about 5 years,
not sure if it's got the same motor as it had 6-7 years ago.

My orange and white one had Vauxhall Ventora front suspension, ladder bars, 9" Ford, fully intergrated roll cage, screw in windows, so it would have taken a lot of work to put back together also no title either as no vin tags.

I saw mine and Stitch's old car (now black and yellow) when I was at Hauser Racing earlier in the year, had a look around it, pleased to see it out again. That night I was in the garage and by coincidence found the original pile of reciepts, spooky. I arranged with Ray at Hausers to give them to the present owner and now Stitch has found the Title.
When I had the Nova the engine was in bits in the trunk. I swopped the 400sbc from my '69 Nova (Hot Pattooti). My friend Jeff and me drove it to the Pod, the Picnic I think in about '85ish unloaded the tent and ran a twelve. I can't remember the exact time or speed but it was a mid to low twelve. Stitch ran a 12.2 way back in his Camaro after driving it from Bournemouth to the Pod! It was my target time for years but I didn't beat it in the Yellow Nova.

Wow Stitch what a photo and what a memory! That is our old Mercedes tyre truck/transpoter (a piece of history in itself). I did bring our Porsche 911SC (in which Colin Blower won the Production Sports Car Championship) The car was very quick on the circuits but on the strip would only run low thirteens (too much rear camber). For a few years I would bring our circuit car to the Pod once a year for a bit of fun.
