Dug these pics out - they have a mix of Gravesend and Millwall !? written on the back.
I do have an old Str**t Machine feature pic to confirm the Gravesend bit but not sure of the Millwall part.
The feature pic had the 57 Chevy with 'Bad Company' on the back with a lovely swivel on this type mural.
Do remember talking to the owner as my Consul was parked next to the Chevy.

Anyone remember the MKII Consul?. It was featured in CC, kinda knew the guy who was in the Moonshine Cruisers.
Rebuilt the car with a Cologne V6 and lovely trick features on his drive in Bedford Hill, Balham - the old red light district of south London.

I do remember my Consul being flanked also by the Riley.
I was really impressed with the level of finish, chrome everywhere,
little feature murals everywhere too.

Got engaged in 81  god that's makes me feel old LOL, that pop engine bay looks like "popcorn", nice pics.
Your right about the Gravesend ones, actually its the car park right next door to Northfleet & Gravesend F.C. (now Ebsfleet F.C.). I live literally 5 mins walk from there. Was only 11 then.:)
The Bad Company '57 Chevy belonged to a bloke called Bruno, he was a member of the Morons. I've got some photos from a show at Gravesend, must be the same one. The Big & Nasty Consul belonged to Chris Skinner, ended up black with black windows & pretty sure it had a tunnel rammed 351 in it, was always in the burnout competition & Drags at the Detling shows.
Got a load of photos from the shows at the old Millwall ground too, can't remember the name of the club that ran it though.

Brunos name was Graham Brown, His '57' was a RHD 4 door pillarless, not sure what V8 it was, but it was a manual, it was a lovely car. The bad company mural on the trunk was a caracature picture of him I think, and the 57, with him giving the Finger.....We were good friends with him in mid 80s and he kindly let us have his 57 as our wedding car, that was 86. Havent seen or heard of Bruno for 20yrs...........where are you now Bruno?

I remember going to the Gravesend show. I'm standing on the wall with my mate, & then girlfriend watching the burnout competition. Oh happy days.

Olly Chambers red Mk 1 Transit, pic 3, always arond in the 80's
Pic 7...possibly the front of Doc Claydons White Corvette
Pic 12 certainly Chris Skinner....Big and Nasty, painted black and reddy orange and yellow stripes...351...saw plenty of strip action.
I believe Chris used to run with Imperial Roadsters with Nick Kemp, Al and Trevor Bailey, all from the Gravesend/Strood area.
Chris now runs with Taz racing...little and Nasty...Fiat 126, which when first came out had a key in the back and the same colour as Big and Nasty. Its because Chris and his brother Mark used to take my brother racing at the Pod that I ever got into hotrods......cool!!

Yes that is John Claydons Vette next to that is a guy from Swanscombe called Bruno that would be the 57 Chevy, the Hillman Minx belonged to a guy called Dave the Paint who was an incredible Mural guy (hence the name) Ollies van is still about so is he saw him at the swap meet last year, big and nasty was indeed Chris Skinner now of Taz fame (we used to call it big and ugly) the last pic with the Granada and the Capri, the Capri was owned by a chap called John Ault and was super clean.
Well thats it from me making me feel too nostalgic now.
