I was looking at some old Hot Rod and Custom UK mags over the break and found these 2 pops. 801GPL was different as it was fitted with a v8 Pilot engine. Owner was Steven Herwig.

Where is it now?

In HR&C and the Doncaster 81 video a red Pop PRU471.

Where is it now??'

Surprised that nobody knows about these two. GPL appeared in HR&Cuk and PRU appeared in at least one show.

I would think the reg nos have been changed, so losing the continuity. Or maybe they got broken up, does happen you know.

PRU471 POP was owned by Richard Gardner from the Wirral.

Yes unfortunately we all know it does happen but I think it a pity that nice cars like these may have ended up like that.

GPL appears to be intact on Sorn. The only Pop I have ever heard of with a flathead V8. Kinda memorable.

PRU MIA (Maybe). Doncaster show car.

Somebody spent a lot of time, effort and money creating them. It seems strange to me that few people remember them.
