Where are all the gade valley lot, they always had good attendance at rod runs, and they put a great show on in Hemel........................

Remember a bundle of us did Chelsea one saturday, all slept in our cars somewhere near Hemel, turned up at the venue and waited and waited no one arrived we then found out the venue had been moved which we later found, Wally Barters 32 always knocked me out,

4 Of us are members of The Outlaws Rod And Drag Club now.
It was the September Showdown show in Hemel Hempstead way back.

there was a reunion at the marchment arms which Jim Mc ghee arranged where they used to meet a few years back,i have some pictures somewhere of the september show down 1980 which was held at the water gardens car park hemel hempstead,i remember Frank sizer's volvo being there,i will try and dig out and post the pictures.

Remember Billing circa 1976 when there was a mass streak accross the field instigated by members of both Gade Valley and Spirit of the Fifties club members? All different sizes and shapes of genitalia were on display.Much mirth,merriment and joviality was had by one and all!!

Got a load of photos from one of the Gade Valley shows, no scanner though, sorry. Hot n Bothered, Transformation, Frank Sizers Volvo when it was jacked up, the box arched Viva estate & Ford Fever which had "Running in, pass while you can" in the rear window. Ford Fever was the car that sticks in my mind as being the most impressive at the inpromptu drags at the pedestrian crossing outside.

Your sure right Russ, he always attened the Detling show, all the Gade lot camped next door to us one year, good bunch of guys, they liked a beer or two !

I remember as a yoof riding on my bike on a sunday to watch the cars pull out of the Marchmont arms, as it was in those days.
The September Show Downs where always a good show, great memories of Tony Rose doing burn-outs in his Mustang fast back race car through the water Garden car park (now a multi-story)
I have got some photos from those days, mainly of the impromtue burn-outs at the crossing outside Boots in the Marlows (who were those kids that kept pushing the buttons) Can't find them but will keep looking.
Did manage to find this picture of Geoff Stalkers Minor pick up in a pre chopped and graffic'd guise (Geoff, him with the flat cap!

Was never a member, but I turned up most Wed nights and Sunday lunch times to look at the Rods in my 59 LeSabre. Need less to say I got the bug following these guys around and built my 390 Gt powered 32 5 window.
Got my first best of show at the Gade valleys 1982 "September Pop Parade Showdown" - still have the dash plaque.
I wouldn't hesitate a guess that at least 90% of the guys that were running around with that club at the time are STILL involved in this sport one way or another.
