looking for an amplifier to fit an sd 1 distributor the dizzy has two wires comming out into a plug which goes into amplifier which is bolted onto or about the coil bracket thanks e mail clark111@btinternet .com or phone after six please to 07765002109.

If you are talking about the SD1 Opus dizzy (electronics inside the dizzy and a plastic rotor) thats not an amplifier its a ballast resistor pack. You don't need it to run the engine just put the red wire to the Pos and white wire to the neg of a 12V coil.

The Ballast pack has an electronic switch in it to give 12V to a low voltage coil when cranking.

If you really want a ballast pack I have a couple as its the first thing I remove ;) - followed shortly by the Opus system

hi just woder if you could sell me one to try this system i gather you don't rate it much but at the momment im running a stock motor so hope it will be ok the prob is i forgot to remove from car when itook out the lump and im now ready to try it if you wand to drop me a phone no ill speak to you thanks again alan
