Hi all, thought it was about time I posted some details about my project. Its a 1958 Anglia 100e. Bought it, drove it 250 miles home then started to take it apart.

Sitting next to my 1960 Pop 100e

http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg158/jonlarkin76/004-1.jpg

Bought some banded steels for the rear and 5.5" for the front

http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg158/jonlarkin76/007-1.jpg

What made be buy this 100e is that it has escort turretts welded into it

http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg158/jonlarkin76/001.jpg

Also managed to get hold of a 3 bar grille and a rare aeroplane mascot

http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg158/jonlarkin76/82d6_1.jpg

So the fun begins. Until it completed I'll be using my other toy to get about :D

Hi Jon, welcome to the forum. Good to meet you at the 127 Diner on Sunday. Looks like this could be a good regular meet for a lot of the Essex rodders.

Done a little bit today. Pulled out the interior and removed all the old eyebolts that were fitted for harnesses (I presume). Pulled the rear part of the exhaust out as I'm going for side exit.

http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg158/jonlarkin76/006-5.jpg

The floor is covered in some sort of sound deadening. Any ideas on how to remove this so I can weld up all the holes?

Swapped over the rear shocks and mk2 escort hanger plates. The shocks are made for a mini so I need to get new bushes for the bottom.

http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg158/jonlarkin76/007-4.jpg

http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg158/jonlarkin76/010-2.jpg

Once I get the bushes I can bolt the shocks into place. Need to pay some attention to the bodywork. The rear panel seems to have a bit of filler in it The worst part is at the rear of the n/s/r arch

http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg158/jonlarkin76/014-2.jpg

Got the repair panel for it already so should be able to get that done soon.

Borrowed these from Cossie Pop and quite like them. Torn between them and my banded steels. If I go with the alloys will need to get two more for the front ;)

Sorry Andy, sold the Dunlop alloys a while back.

Just bought a pair of front shocks. A pair of Billies converted to grp4 spec coil overs. Need a paint and a pair of springs.

It has a 105e axle and yes they are 100e leafs. At the moment it has 2" lowering blocks on it. Hoping to get 2 3/4" ones on there eventually

Have chosen a colour for my wheels. Coral beige, normally found on a sierra. Will have them done properly soon.

Car is staying black. Was gonna do it panther black but may go with a shiney gloss black. Cream interior. Rear roll cage. Side exit exhaust. Sitting as low as possible. Drive it alot :D

Well happy with them.:D

Picked up a bargain in the form of a set of Wolseley 16/60 gauges. Should go well with the cream interior.

http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg158/jonlarkin76/041.jpg

Bought a new four branch for the crossflow. Will need a bit of modding to fit.

Have got the suspension all fitted up and sorted the steering. The car sis a bit low at front for now. Will probably bring it up an inch. on the front I have 4.5" corsair gt wheels and on the back it will have 8" banded steels. Will get another pic of the car tomorrow when all four wheels are fitted. Can now get on with sorting the exhaust, bodywork and interior.

Rover V8 - The big package I got was an original 60's Desmo roofrack that I've stripped down and am painting to match the wheels.

Russ - I think early Zodiac's had a similar bonnet ornament to the one fitted to the early 100e Prefect's.

Small update - Got the rear wheels fitted today. Had to remove the lip on the arch and mod the inner tub to accept the 8" wheel and tyre combo. May need to make the front wheels wider, 5.5/6". Maybe
