Hi Guys

Been meaning to post this up for a while now. Keep forgetting.

One of my family, has been in the glass game for years. He said he would be happy to do glass to templates. Not pricey, but would need templates.

The glass would be laminated. Kite marked and made to the template provided.

If anyone is interested please give me a call or pm.

Thanks Roland

my new glass for the 32 roadster is kitemarked, i got him to cut it from the corner of the sheet as they all have a kite mark on them when they come to him from the manufacturer,

It's a different mark to household glass think it's BS6041 for home and BS537 for cars. Can you confirm which he can do Roland please,ta.

The stamp is applied using a sandblast machine, if you are worried about the correct stamp, then why not use a correct flat screen from a car and have that cut to suit, leaving the old stamp on showIve cut loads of screens for friends, but none have had to pass SVA test, im a glass cutter by trade, so any questions please ask!Im based in Norwich,Norfolk so if anyone needs one cutting locally get in touch. i'll double check what BSi stamps we have at work

the correct mark for sva is burnt into the glass when it is in the oven hence only one on a sheet a sandblasted mark is not acceptable

Yes i agree, toughened glass is stamped before it goes into the Furnace, so is baked on, while laminated glass is two sheets of annealed glass bonded together with a thin layer of plastic, so as far as i know laminated glass marks are not baked on,but i could be wrong,
