this time i was given this one as a gift, only problem is its in french and I dont talk french!! i guess the persons heart was in the right place though. It seem to cover a whole range of cars not just one year - here is some pics, the cover aint that different from the UK version but inside is quite different, same sort of layout and it was produced by the same folks who produced the UK one. I think its way more stylish than the other one i posted up. Just need to learn french now to read it.

anyway enough of me rambling here are some pics from it and some ads from the back of it.

I speak a very small amount of French. - Enough to order in resteraunts etc... So I'll have a stab at it.

"La voiture" Is "the car" and "Du Monde" is the world.

This edition shows the Ford V8 to be the greatest and most prestigious in Paris and the world? Something like that...

http://www.garagescene.co.uk/book/cc1.jpg

"Biggest temptation in the world" ?

http://www.garagescene.co.uk/book/c2.jpg

Can't read all the words at the top, but I think it's something along the lines of "the car is reasonably priced" (but don't quote me)
The bit at the bottom says "The best car in the world, also the best car in France"

http://www.garagescene.co.uk/book/c4.jpg

"The perfect experience of fate and time..."
"For 30 years Ford have circulated the four corners of the globe"

I'm not as good at this as I thought I was... i've spent nearly 10 minutes on the last one with a english / french dictionary.

JC thanks for the translations, I was going to try and translate it over the internet at some point, just never got round to it yet

If you try the online translators you may be able to get the gyst of what is written. French is a weird language, though. Sentences won't neccesarily translate directly into english. Particularly, if there is what is known as an 'irregular verb' in the sentence. If that's the case the translator will likely just churn out total ******ks.

I'll have a go at a couple more tommorow, once I've sobered up a bit. Hic...

This issue of the magazine Ford states that the V8 conquered the world, including Paris and the fashion, which praise the prestige.

I think this was translated to French from English first as it don't read too well
