5-stud Ali Hubs for Capri 3ltr leg.

Hi, I seem to remember reading somewhere, about blank aluminium hubs for the Mk-3/4/5 Cortina being drilled too American FORD, 5-Stud, am I right or am I just going mad!
I've managed to locate some blank Escort Mk-1/2 and Cortina Mk-3/4/5 hubs, that are available through "DEMON TWEEKS" but I don't want to buy any of them until I'm sure they can be drilled. If I went for the Cortina version what wheel bearings are used.

front hubs for the Mk3/4/5 you can use granada hubs and uprights,, only downside is the stud patern is metric, and it will widen the track by an inch or so, I think Raldes offer undrilled escort ally hubs, but you need to call as they are not listed on their site,

I think there is some confussion here, (my fault probably) I need these hubs for a Mk-3 Capri 3 Litre leg not the Cortina I.F.S system, I will be fitting these to my Mk-1 Cortina, I thought the Cortina Hub was a better option for re-drilling as the Escort version seem to have evenly spaced lugs on the reverse side.

But from what you are saying the Cortina hub is probably the best option for my aplication?

It depends if the ali units are an EXACT replica . Cortina 3/4/5 WILL restud to 5 stud Ford or Chevy pattern .No idea whether you can get them to fit your struts though.

Not sure if they will swap, Mk4 Zodiac uses the same front suspension as a Mk2 Cortina, so there may be a chance they will change directly,

You best get out the tape measure before laying out your cash as i'm pretty sure that the spindle on 3 litre capri is unique, ONLY 3 LITRE CAPRI,
think the spindle length and diameter is different,only the 3 litre hubs fit,
they visually look different with the 4 c/sunk bolts on the hub face,
the mk2 escort, 1.6-2.0 capri, mk 4 zephyr all share the same spindle specs.

Thanks everyone! Gary I will check the Capri hubs, I've also got hold of some stock Mk-5 Cortina hubs that I can use as a reference. I will let you all know the out-come.

Just to let you all know Mk-3/4/5 front hubs fit 3.0ltr Capri legs once you change the inner-wheel bearing. So now everybody can stop search for the elusive Mk-4 Z-car front hubs and pick up the cheaper 3.0ltr legs.
