Thanks for sharing that, I've just spent nearly an hour on there...just had to look at all of his photos.....and then his design site....wonderful!!!! Thank you, a very inspiring start to the day...

gad you enjoyed it 59pickupgal, i'm not very good with a camera i just kinda point and shoot..but i do like too see the results of someone who knows how to use a camera.

Totally, I'd love to be better at it...it is a real art form, no doubt about it....I just loved the whole b-movie feel about it...the outside shots could so easily have been from old 50's sci-fi movies....gonna have to buy his books! Cool!

Great thread! Been a fan of troy's stuff for ages now...his book's fantastic....must have the patience of a saint....and even more impressive is that until recently it's all been done on film too......serious skill involved there.

Dont apologize for lposting that link LOL
It was posted on the last forum but there is some excellent pictures.
The work he does in the darkroom after pointing and shooting is all worthwile.

Neil, When I last went on the site i followed a link where he explained he was using some obscure film types 'wrongly'.

yeah....if you use tungsten balanced film it removes the nasty orange hue that's the bane of night photography...pesky light polution!!!

also if you expose some films for too long...they go super grainy and the expsoure times go all over the place....reciprocity failure.

Blimey...i did learn something on my tog course after all!!!!
