Decided to keep a continual wanted parts list running so I dont keep posted a new one every week :rolleyes:

Wanted:

4 x 12" by 2" Brake Drums
Pair of self-energising rear brake backing plate assemblies with emergency brakes (I have the Lincoln fronts already)
Pair of early ford front hubs (to suit above)
Pair of early ford rear hubs (to suit '39/40 rear axle
Pair of Ford steering arms (not for dropped axle)

the bolt pattern on the spindles where the backplates bolt up will need to match the bolt pattern on the backplates you have. spindles which are 28-48 have 2 different patterns which do you need? 28-36 have a small bolt circle 37-48 have a large bolt pattern. Although im guessing you will need the large bolt pattern it may be the small pattern as the backplates for the new lincoln style brakes come in both sizes and you dont say what size yours are.

kingpins for different years are different as well - IIRC they are differing lengths from 28-41 & 42-48 but all have the same diameter - the main difference apart from ball on top of the early kingpins for mechanical brakes is the notch for the lock pin is in different places dependant on years - this is because on early spindles the bearing runs on top of the axle but on late spindles the bearing runs on the bottom of the axle. If you get original style spindles you should get the kingpins to match them year for year.

If you need spindles which have the small bolt pattern 28-36 you can use kingpins from E38W or pilot and that will do away with ball on top of them for mechanical brakes.
