I recently picked up a Model AA rolling chassis and am planning to use the rails from it as the basis for a flathead powered Model A pickup project. I will sell the heavy duty truck front & rear axles on and plan to use a dropped beam at the front and a car axle at the rear. The rails are in good rust free condition, super strong (as they are thicker steel than on a Model A) and will hopefully have a number stamped on which should help with registration.
Clearly the rails will need modification, plus shortening but I can't see a reason not to use them and would welcome any thoughts or advice.
Cheers Steve

This 24T is on shortened and kicked AA rails. With the right crossmembers I think they make a good basis for a hot rod chassis. Good luck with it.
