Several front axles @£25

Front spindles @ £35/pr

Rear brakes £130

Also have some original 8-lug 16" wheels and a 16-1/2" wheel - these fit Ford and Chevy (and others?) as I believe they are "military standard" bolt pattern.

And some small parts - '53-'55 speedo units, etc. One repaired stainless headlight rim ('53-'55).

Sell or trade for '32 Ford chassis/driveline parts:

Have you still got the window felt trims?

Hi do you still have the 1/4 light rubber window seals please

Dave

Andy,
I'll take the window felt trims and if Martin doesn't have the 1/4 light rubbers I'll have them as well. Do you by any chance have an original style ignition switch?

i don't suppose you have an F100 steering box up for grabs do you?

ah no worries then, i was hoping to swap out my current one which is almost certainly worn beyond economical repair.

Rem, have you still got the gauge clusters? If so do you know if the gauges actually work - the fuel gauge in particular.

Hi Dave, you really should just come down and buy everything, and then when you sell your truck you can sell all the spares you don't use off as well...

Anyway, just tried a PP3 across three different fuel gauges and each one moved towards full scale (didn't keep it connected so I didn't damage anything). I will say that in my truck I didn't get the gauge working properly - it was converted to 12v and although I tried to calculate a suitable additional resistor to step down the voltage it didn't work.

I have actually got a couple of 'proper' instrument step-down resistors that I didn't get round to trying: a V12873 4A/12V one from Mac's, and one of the big ceramic Columbia Volt-A-Drops

Let me know how much you want for both the resistors and a gauge panel.
I just wish I'd hooked up my trailer and come to see you months ago!

Was just reminded that I still have a few parts left over...
Hi send you a pm to ask for updated list with prices...

OK, I've updated the list of main parts as the springs are now spoken for. Still have some of the gauges and small bits and pieces, but, ahem, can't find the box that they're in right now! The window seals and felts have definitely gone.

I've deleted some of the replies to tidy this up, so some of the other posters' questions appear unanswered/ignored but they have been dealt with.

When you find the box could you provide some prices... interested in the mirror bits

All these were from/for a '55 F100/F250 so I think will fit '53-'54 as well, and maybe '56 for some.

Pic 1:
Speedo / gauge panel parts ('53-'55)

Pic 2:
Headlamp bezel - stainless steel - has been repaired at the seam - "driver quality"

Ford V8 Pertronix Ignitor #1281 - SOLD

Ford V8 distributor cap #B7A-12106-A - fits all Ford V8 '56 - '72 - SOLD

'48-'56 Repro dipswitch #A8AZ-13A024-A - I had to bend the terminals to fit in the well in the floor in my truck, and then found an original one. The other one needs a spring and cap.

Column shift lever - think this is a '56 one as it is bent to suit the dished steering wheel. Don't know why that's the only piece I have!

Original light switch - it has 6V on it so presume pre-'56. No *handle*, although I might have a repro one for it, and the escutcheon isn't mint.

(The rotor arm has a 59A part number so I think must have sneaked in there from my flathead pile.)

Pics 3 & 4:
Battery tray - fair - restorable
Heater delete plate
Side louvre vent blanking plate
Front fender stays
Kick-panel retainer strip
Sidelight lense - SOLD
Tail light lenses SOLD
Tail light lense gaskets - SOLD
Pair of chrome repro mirror base brackets
Front motor mount isolator #TAAA-6039-AR
Original 6V wiper motor assembly - the '55 was listed as having vacuum wipers, so this was either an option, or taken from one of the bigger trucks. I tested it when I got the truck and I think it worked, but the park switch didn't work properly
Finally, a couple of spark plug wire loom brackets - probably the ones that are impossible to reach with the engine in the truck, or I would have used them?

PS Forgot - one wiper arm! Probably original? SOLD

Hi Interested in the tail light gaskets and mirror base brackets for now

Could you provide a price for that...

What would be your best price for the speedo parts (pic1)

Thanks
Ed

Hi Andy,
Bit of a long shot, but do have any F100 front brakes in amongst your stash?

Cheers, Jim

No, sorry Jim, front brakes are all gone (I have one lone F1 drum left :)). Are you looking to improve on your '40's brakes? If so, and your drums are OK, the simplest way would be to fit a pair of the repro Lincoln brakes - just remove your backplates and bolt on the Lincolns, I think. Might cost you two or three hundred quid, but you'd have new shoes and wheel cylinders, and 12" self-energising brakes (F100 are 11", if you weren't aware).

Cheers, Andy

Hi,
I have a new set of Lincoln/Zephyr front brakes but the shoes are wider than '40 Ford so I would have to get new drums and hubs as my '40's drums are integral with the hubs. :(

Have you got the 2" wide shoes then Jim? I have a pair of those - they are for Buick drums, or repro Lincoln drums, that are wider than the Ford. You can get 1-3/4" wide shoes for them that should fit the Ford drums?

Hi Andy,

Yep, I've got the 2" wide Lincoln/Zephyr shoes, I didn't realise 1-3/4" shoes were available, I'll have to see about getting a set! :)
