They are a centre mount style rack overall distance is around 24 inches for the rack body . You then modify the bolt on section and adjust the side arms to suit. You can get it then so it lines up spot on with the inner tca locations.

I used a cavalier rack on my mk1 zephyr it is the right width and I used the mounting holes that the steering box and idler arm used to fix the rack to ,I used a manual rack I am not sure if you could use a power rack .I believe that the Astra rack is the same size because they are centre steer you dont have to worry about the geometry ie lining the rack ends with the TCAs etc you dont need to cut any thing to length ,the ends also match mk2 steering arms

Are they classed as a 'centre steer' one???

Wouldn't the extra long arms cause bump steer???

Questions questions...!!!

Yes

They scribe wider arc so should limit bump steer

If you are getting one from a breakers yard don't forget to get the clamps ,if I remember I used these and some 2x2 angle to make the brackets .and get the lower part of the steering column
