This is my under construction project :
Rodline 1932 Model B Roadster :
Bodywork just after painting by Hershambob (Unfortunatly the red doesn't photograph very well - it's a lot darker than in the picture) :

Maybe a bit longer than that Mel - after buying a new set of valve whilst in Florida recently - got them home to find one box had one missing - so having to source one valve in this country......
Still big list of "to do items" including wiring & interior.
BTW the rear bobbed fenders fit a treat thanks Mel.

Although I missed the first deadline for getting her on the road (Billing 08) after a last minute panic she got MOT'd (Thanks Mark) and after a quick local shakedown run I set off for Old Warden late Friday afternoon - loads of problems - she kept cutting out all the way.
Managed to get there early Friday evening.
Saturday morning with the help / advice from Mark, Al, Mike, John (Blobby) and many more well wishers - the problems were located as fuel starvation (not helped by the heat), the floats in the Holley not set correctly and a small bit of sh1t in one of the jets.
After purchasing a heat sheild from US Automotive and some more tinkering she seemed fine - quick cruise to the show field to see Martins roadster being pinstriped by Tootal:

After a doing of couple more small local runs including the Bracknell breakfast one:
http://www.nsra.org.uk/gallery/files/3/4/2/2/tazet21.9.08_20032.jpg
Both of which where small in distance, went for the bigger one: Surrey Street Rodders Picnic Run.
Early start, Newlands Corner:
http://www.nsra.org.uk/gallery/files/3/4/2/2/pict0026.jpg
Then on into the woods :
http://www.nsra.org.uk/gallery/files/3/4/2/2/inthewoods.jpg
Plenty of country roads complete with pot holes and a very sharp hairpin to contend with:
http://www.nsra.org.uk/gallery/files/3/4/2/2/roundthebend.jpg
Ending up at the Rural Life Centre:
http://www.nsra.org.uk/gallery/files/3/4/2/2/tazet28.09.08_20518_671752.jpg
Having great fun with it - just some minor adjustments needed to the rear springs to get a less bouncy ride and of course the interior.(Whiff, will be round soon)
Ralph:)
ps Thanks to www.mankymonkeymotors.co.uk (http://www.mankymonkeymotors.co.uk) for the pictures

That's the trouble not sure - I believe they are stamped on them but I'll have to remove them first to read them.

The body is fibreglass, axle 9" Ford, shock absorbesr are adjustable AVO (I think) - I believe when the car was originally set up it was to have a rumble seat (I brought it as a half started project) so any pointers / help in correcting the bouncy ride whould be appreciated.

Ralph I have no experience of roadsters I'm afraid. Also there are so many variables to consider such as shock angle. I found the enclosed links helpful when we changed the rears on my coupe. It was bottoming out so we went up to 325. I'm a big lad and the car is usually driven two up and now it's perfect. You have to do a couple of hundred miles I would say to get a true impression as they were a bit hard at first.

Crank up the dampening adjustment a notch or two. Soft spring, heavy damping is a nice compromise.
