After doing a bit of last minute running around I decided to get my truck to Billing. I had only done about 20 miles in it and was apprehensive about an approx 900 mile round trip.
Classicline offer roadside assistance for £29.95 so after I called and checked that recovery was included I signed up.
On the way home my fuel pump gave up just before Brum. I reluctantly made the call.
As I had only joined the service a couple of days before I expected some red tape laden nightmare hassle..
I needn't have worried, the helpline guy was very helpful and recover was sorted within the hour. One change of wagon at Charnock Richards services and then home.

Muchos bargainous at under £30.

Was just told tonight by Colin Millar that he thought he saw your truck getting recovered from one of the services. At least it's nothing major Ross, and as you say BARGAIN!!

Darren may not own a Rod but after 15 years he knows exactly what he is talking about. He understands the vehicles, the people & what we are all about. That goes a long way to providing the kind of service we all expect. Something that can't be done with a lot of other companies.

Agreed. Can't speak highly enough of Darren, who's certainly helped resolve some issues.

Truck looking good Ross, will def get down in next few weeks.

You should have told me you were going to Billing, I could have bought your wings... :p

I too have been taken home via Classicline, twice, but not as far as you, and one was only about a mile... :o

Had a front tyre blowout on the Y on the M27 a couple of years ago, picked up within the hour and taken to where we were going including a stop to B/King, good service.

I`ve been with them for 9 years & they have been very good but I`ve just gone to another company through no fault of there`s but the nsra valuation wasn`t good enough. I know this is a common issue & I`m not knocking MT but when I`ve got over £40000 invested I need to know if my cars in an accident & a write-off I can get more than half that back.

I think that the issues you encountered may be well on the way to being sorted. I'd suggest you give Darren at Classicline a ring when your renewal is due.

We (NSRA) had a meeting with Classicline at Billing concerning valuations ,the type, and value of some of our cars is ever increasing and we needed to bang heads together to discuss the situation ,which we have not done for a long while .

We have put in place a way of agreeing values in the future ,which we hope will work better . It is still very difficult to value cars when they are so different ,especially when you compare values ,to other cars and home built to shop built .We also have to consider the scheme as a whole ,we don't want to loose it .

Unfortunately regardless of home or pro built the scheme can only survive if valuations are based on current re-sale value based on the vehicle as presented or the scheme is open to possible abuse. Thats why I had the idea of a seperate third party incident valuation then the scheme is not liable for full replacement value & it is harder to abuse the higher valuation at the detriment of Classic line / NRSA.
