Important changes to the NSRA Scale Model Car Competition.......

After having talks over the weekend at the AGM with the Nsra Committee we felt a few changes were in the best interest for the future of this Contest & to bring a bit of nostalgia into it...

So the following changes are to be made to this years competition,

To give everyone more time to finish the build they are doing as we all know things happen in life and time passes by without us noticing The finish date has been moved to give extra time, so when I hear you ask, well as you all know the NSRA Scale Model Stand is at the NSRA Supernationals where you can bring your build and show it off to show public, well now this will be the final stage of the Contest. The comp will start in November & just bring it along with you to the Supernationals and place it on the Nsra Scale Model Car Stand, and that's it.
This will also mean that the way the contest is Judged, the judging of the contest will no longer be on the forum, I will be organizing an independent person to Judge the models at the supernationals on the scale model stand at the NSRA Supernationals, just how it used to be many years ago.

I hope these changes will make it the contest more relaxed and more fun and a better way for the future of the contest for years to come.

Im thinking saturday afternoon stevie as the NSRA are so busy on a sunday I thought the saturday afternoon would be better to have them judged & winners annouced saturday about 4pm-ish as sunday is such a busy day with everything that happen's (but im open to ideas) and we get to have a bit of a party of our own saturday night ;) There is a lovey pub up the road about 10min walk ;) pint on me...:cool:

The reason for asking was that I can usually only make the drive-in day i.e the Sunday.
I know what you mean about it being busy, though, so fully support your idea.
I will work out a way to get my model to you for the event.
If that's not possible I'll bring it along on the Sunday anyway.

Thankyou for your support on the model comp, nothing has been set in stone when it will be (IE what day) at the supernats yet but my feeling was on a Sunday the NSRA Committee & Crew are running round all day Sunday like mad heads to get everything sorted out (myself included) so that's the only reason I thought of Saturday, I will have some further talks at a later date with the NSRA Committee and see what we can sort, we have plenty of time to sort it and give everyone enough notice of whats happening for the NSRA Uk Supernationals with time to spare. ;)
