Ok got involved in Rodding back in the mid 70's in Birmingham (born in Solihull) was a member of The Brum Street Freaks before we changed the name /location to The Mid England Roadsters.
Had a 64 Moggy in candy blue then started a 1950 Anglia ,dumped that for a Jago 32 Tudor, built in England finished in California Green/purple flames ( Primer gray hiboy then with green fenders circa 1987in England) Got involved with Alan Martin with Street Rod & Machine Monthly magazine in 1982.Went to California first in 1980 with members of MER , went back on me todd for the 50th anniversary of the Deuce in 82 , Met Jay Storer at the Western Nats in Merced, we've been friends ever since .He ended up getting me an interview with Jerry Kugel I left my wife Carol alone & went to try out for Kugel Komponents in Feb 1988. Carol moved over to join me in August 88 , off the plane straight to Bonneville ( Hot Rod wife).Started LimeWorks Speedshop in 1994 after the birth of our first child James (now 13 Mk I Cortina Estate car /Rover V8 current slow build). After 14 years were still going strong at LimeWorks, I drive a 63 Consul Capri daily ,a 4.5 Daimler Hemi powered original 32 Roadster & a flathead powered 32 Truck , Carol has a 300" Buick powered 32 Fordoor .I also have an Anglia Gasser called The Hummer , it was built in 1964 , is GMC 6 powered & is an NHRA record holder.Restoration has begun for next years Hot Rod Reunion , which I attend each year.I keep in touch with the UK scene through Custom Car Mag, The Gasser mag, This forum & the Many visitors who are welcomed throughout the year.Were located in Whittier, So Cal , close to Mooneyes & BDS,& not far from all the LA based shops. Thats enough info for now I'll try pix later .

Hi Steve. Good to see you still have your Anglia. I found a pic' the other day of you ,Steve with his Fordson and another guy loading up after a race meeting. It looked so cool . Mine's still going well. Would be nice to come out and see you all again soon.

Cheers chaps, always good to catch up ,Charging problem was stuck points on the new regulator , seems good now .The Anglia is geting restored for next year & I'm done with the clutch issues (read explosion at 90mph) so were going to put a Powerglide in ,new interior aluminium, new windscreen plexi & new paint in blue candy with no white as it was in 1965.

Next Saturday is the Irwindale Reunion at the NHRA Museum ,weve been invited to bring The Hummer Anglia there ,yesterday I found an NHRA record cirtificate from Irwindale in 1969 so that will go with me .I started the restoration by cleaning her up. Report to follow in the proper local next week with pix,

Cheers Brian, The Blue candy all over is a great look, check out our new web site to see the look were going for, the original photo had yellowed to a green tint.the "green" is flaking off to reveal the gold metallic below !! Basically Regal Blue over gold without the white the white was done to cover a damaged door so John O'Connell told me, he will be at the NHRA museum next week with us .

LMAO the poor old thing is in need of a makeover, The Anglia needs some help too!!!Interesting picture i can see where there was another Grant Piston Ring Decal on the bonnet side, not seen that before .Now I need 2 darnit. Thanks Russ.
