To my eyes, you have got so much of that just right ! Even down to the lightness of the front wheels to the roadway ! The light reflections on the bodywork are just so, so right!
Adam looks a bit large in it though!
Cooolll!

Looks dam good fella!

I too got some oil paints for xmas (first ever paints) and I'm now trying my first car pic, sketched the old roadster (SV 5453) on the canvas and seeing how it goes... i'll let you know following drying times etc - if its good enough to show u i will, otherwise i'll keep painting over it til its half decent - it may be some time haha:)

Having tried it I know how difficult it is now... for instance, getting the background as yours im ok with...but that reflective flank down the passenger side is pretty dam amazing! Doubt i'll get the hang of that quickly!!

Did a few landscapes and a seascape as practice but that aint what i wanna be painting!!

Do you do wet on wet type thing with liquid clear first etc?

i tried the liquid clear thing years ago when bob ross first appeared on the scene over here and i`ve still got it all but this was done the trad way....sketched it out, turpsy wash and then painted a section at the time...my problem is i cant keep to areas and work across the painting, i`m left handed so logically i should start on the right and work my way to the left but it never happens...i flit all over the place which if i`m drawing is ok cause i can cover whats already done...you cant do that with oils so i get in a mess ha ha....as far as the reflections go the only advice i can give you is the same advice i gave cjh about drawing...paint what you see, however wrong it might look....those reflections are just a mass of colours but they seem to work
