I know this has been covered before but cant find the link. What duty and VAT would be due on a 1936 stock vehicle with a US title??

Ian, I'm sure that would be 0% duty and 5% VAT on the total cost of shipping plus purchase price

It is but doesn't make any difference really unless ou were planning on claiming the VAT back...

Has to be 1949 or earlier to get the 5% duty and no VAT, if you bring in a 1950 onwards truck though be careful as they are classed as commercials and have a whopping 22% duty whacked on them aswell as the 20% VAT :(

Thats were you MAY get considered for the "Historical" status of a vehicle, i have a document here from the European Union Institutions and Bodies commission.
Must be in there original state without substantial changes to the chassis and steering, braking system engine etc.
At least 30 years old, of a model type no longer in production.
Being relatively rare, not being normally used for their original purpose,
being the subject of special transactions outside the normal trade in similar utility articles and being of greater value.
This is on page 402.
