Used to know him when he was here, before he emigrated. He was a regular at Santa Pod in the 60s & early 70s & used to wring some pretty impressive times out of whatever he drove at the time.

I have a couple of Vizard books, I'll have a look and see what they are when it's light! I think from memory they are the how to build HP ones but I'm also sure there was a lot given over to his 4 down draft carbed small block which may be of some use.

Cheers Adam, I've got the HP SBC one (How to build max performance SBC on budget), the one I'm after is specifically for cylinder heads. There's 2 on ebay at present at around $78 ea plus shipping, but I resent paying that much for a book which cost around $25 new. I guess it's an indication of how sought after it is!

For some reason I just had a vision of a race engineer somewhere in the States buying up all the old copies of this book and burning them to try and keep the edge on all the other SBC builders..LMFAO
