I have been around the scene for more years than I care to remember, I have like so many seen different styles and genre come and go. However, the one style/era that has always had a special place for me is a Gasser or on some occassions what I thought was a Gasser.
Even back in the 70's and 80's this type of 'motroing mayhem' was a rare beast on these shores. But somehow in garages up and down the country various cars were being built which even if not all out Gasser's, still had their routes in that period and class of drag racing. I didn't have one then, but I did have a cheap camera and some cheap Ilford film on which I captured some of these cars. I recently dug out soem of theold images and scanned them in to share with you.
I know some may cry foul, they are not all Gassers, but heck to a teenager back then they were, and they all in someway inspired me down the road to where I am today, racing in the Gasser Circus, and totally addicted to the breed!
