Hartlepool Hot Rod Weekend - 3 - 2012........ May 25th - 26th

A few of us Hot Rodders up here in the North East are organising a Hot Rod weekend in May.
The accommodation isn’t just a field either but a proper family run camp site with clean toilets, showers, shop, games room & most importantly a bar with reasonable prices! They also offer food from 9.30am to 9.30pm.
The plan is to arrive on Friday - set up camp & enjoy the sea views with a beer or if people want, we can go for a cruise along the sea front & have that beer later.
Saturday – 10.00 have breakfast at the nearby American style OK Diner, where we’ll meet up with more Rods, Yanks, Customs & Classics.
About 11.00 we’ll set off for the cruise to Automotive Classic & Custom run by our good mate Andy Eckford. Andy will show us the kind of Hotrod & restoration work that he’s become famous for.
Later we’ll head off for the sea front at Seaton Carew, then on to Hartlepool’s Museum & Maritime Experience.
Saturday night – either chill on site with a BBQ or we’ll see you in the bar.
Sunday – Breakfast & pack up camp.

The dates are Friday 25th, Saturday 26th May 2012. If you can’t stay over, meet us at the diner on Saturday morning for the cruise.

Prices are from £10.00 per pitch, per night. Electric hook-ups are also available.
No pets are allowed on the site.

I've heard that the long running Fins & Chrome show in Stockton is off this year.
The Hartlepool Hotrod Weekend is more of a cruise than a show, with a camping venue for those wanting to make a weekend of it.
So, although it's no replacement for Fins & Chrome, at least it's another event in the area.

The site report a lot more people have pre-booked this time around so if you fancy a chilled weekend surrounded by some of the coolest cars in the North East, you know what to do. But don't leave it too late if you need a mains hook up on site!

What a fantastic weekend...for those who bothered to turn up didnt we have a fantastic time,for those who did'nt you sadley missed out, but we will be doing another weekend before the sun has gone this season..

Thanks to all those who managed to get a long to our third Hartlepool Hotrod Weekend. Perfect weather, stunning vehicles & the best bunch of people you could ever meet made this a true classic experience. Hey, let's do it again later this summer!
