The Nostalgia Nationals, well what can I say, it was another excellent weekend for the Gasser Circus. Yes it was wet and it seemed that and other events impacted on the number of attendees, but the Gasser Circus was still out in force with 10 Gassers in the pits and in competition.
It was a weekend packed with firsts, with debutant cars, new personal bests, rain, determination and great comradery.
A full report will appear in a future issue of Street Gasser, but congratulations are in order to many people, so here goes, thank you to all the Gasser Circus Racers, their crews and supporters, thank you to the NSRA for their support and sponsorship, the team at Shakespeare County Raceway for without their support it would be far more than the Circus that would suffer, and to all the people who showed their support of the Gasser Circus either in the stands as we came round to race or came over to talk to us in the pits.
Finally congratulations to the Winner of this round of the series Ray Turner driving his 55 Chevy to the win, beating Carl Frith in his Alchemist 5 window Ford.
Next round of the Gasser Circus is at Dragstalgia @ Santa Pod on the 14th - 15th July.
