Does anyone know if there is a cost below which no duty is charged on ordering parts from the States?

One of my bonnet springs has snapped on my 57 Chevy Pick up and I have found I can buy a pair of new springs for $16.00 in the States from a Truck Parts Dealer.

As I dont want to be landed with a big bill for postage/duty/VAT and admin fee by the courier/post office I wondered if anyone else had done something similar? Or can advise on the best way to get them over here.

I am happy to pay for postage and packing etc but dont want to be landed with an extortionate bill!

Thanks in anticipation!
Brendan

I order from the states every week and can do parts at a £ per $, everything comes by 5-7 day air freight, I order from LMC trucks & Brothers trucks regularly, the both are Chevy truck specialists.
