Yep best ever had a ball and lots of new faces as well.
I spotted a few old faces too Russ, Ian Fury King was `assisting` Roger Hamilton and I came across John `Baldy` Baldachino browsing round his old Viva van. John seemed really pleased with the way that rodding had grown in this country and was impressed with the quality of cars being built.

An overall brilliant weekend and the sunshine made it like the Billings of old, and after leaving about 3/4 hour after prize giving Wendy and I didn`t even encounter any of the usual traffic jams on the M1 or M25, just a straight 60mph cruise all the way home.

Thanks to all the Committee and helpers for a top notch weekend, my hat is off to all of you :thumbs_up_smiley: :sun:...

Brilliant weekend, loved it, well done to all! Great decision to stay at Billing, it's an awesome place to cruise round, brilliant site especially when the 'Sun God' shone down on us. Looking forward to next year already!

Baldy has re-joined (or should that be joined?) the NSRA & I just caught up with you two as you were pulling off at LHR & it was relatively free-flowing traffic all the way, apart from a few slow bits!;)

That`s good news about Baldy. Hopefully he`ll get stuck into that pile of parts he has stashed and we`ll see a Baldy `revival` once he gets his retirement sorted...
The only `slow` bits we encountered were because of the 50-60mph speed restrictions, which we were travelling at anyway, but the traffic stayed moving at those speeds anyway so it was actually a nice pleasurable drive home...

Great time and thanks to all involved!

Billing itself appears to have pulled its' socks up considerably. Hoovering up the remaining water, proper looking security, probably the best park showers I've ever used, and friendly staff! On that last point, a cowboy hat wearing Billing litter picking chap spent some time chatting with us about Bob n Glo's bikes - he was great fun - then, when leaving he was directing the exiting traffic out via the shortcut, thanking us for coming, see you next time etc. Awesome! Undercover boss maybe? Nah, just a great bloke.

10/10

I remember that guy Chris, he seemed to be pottering around all weekend. He gave us a cheery "thanks for coming" on the way out too.
I agree about the improvement(s) at Billing, top notch ... and hopefully for the long term!...

Agree about the site improvements, Billing seems to be bouncing back (though I did used to like it's 'Fading Glory'). It is reassuring to see the more professional security set up.
Sorry I never got time to stop & chat Chris.
Had a great trip home. The Oxford ring road was more interesting with a restored Healey 100/6 to 'Enthusiastically' enjoy it with. I 'let' MT pass on the M4 in his 'Scooby' (I swear he had his baseball cap on back to front).
Thanks again NSRA.

Just arrived back and the trailer tents all packed away, Sharon I had a great time, even had some Billing first timers with us and they are completely converted and will be attending again next year. Like everyone else has already stated the Billing site team were spot on and I don't think I went to the loos once over the weekend with out seeing a member of staff keeping everything in tip top shape and at my age with a few beers that's a lot of times to the loo.

The NSRA team as always played a blinder, well done lads and lassies.

On a negative note its the very first time ive attended over the last 20 plus years without seeing a single Scottish rod at the run (that's not counting the couple of plastic jocks Marcus and Jim McGee he he) I will hopefully sort that one out next years all going well.

Had an absolutely brill weekend. Was back like a few years ago. My wife made the effort to come over for the first time in years and she enjoyed it that much I had to buy her an NSRA vest top. Hope it is a nod to the future. I liked the little touch of throwing a few goody bags out at the prize giving although I didn't get one. Well done everyone involved.

Yeah, Ian`s a really nice guy. He told me he has 4 Harleys at the moment including a couple of WL/WLA`s .... jammy git ;).

I remember myself, Ian, and Roger Hamilton at the `78 NASC Nats at Knebworth sitting by our tents watching the cars cruising by and we all had cards with numbers on. As the cars went by we held the cards up giving them a 1-10 score, good times :thumbsup2:...
