sod it, that attatchment plugin is a bit mad, i'll stick to photobucket methinks... Nice for one off pics I spose!
Mods, is there a way of browsing the pics you've uploaded or does it all clog up the server, ie: one pic gets uploaded and attatched multiple times but under different names....
I <3 Vbulletin
Huh?
It confuses the life out of me too, hence me using Imagecave for my pics.
It was hard work but at least it worked (sort of). The photo only shows when I'm logged in though...very odd. All I need now is to make it my avatar!!!
........ All I need now is to make it my avatar!!!
Hmmmm, there in lies a problem. Avatars have decided to stop playing ball. Doug is looking into it, but it seems they worked when we were testing the site for the last few months, hence the Mods etc having them. But when everyone else came along, someone knocked a switch or something in the rush to get in. Hopefully we will get it sorted.
How do you do that link to your intro? Could it be done automatically for everyone?
You need to put [url= Webaddress] My Intro [/url**
Replace Webaddress with the actual http://wwwnsra......... address for your intro.
and the last ** with a ]
Can't do it tony. What am I doing wrong?
My Intro [/url=http://www.nsra.org.uk/newforum/showthread.php?t=419]
Can't do it tony. What am I doing wrong?
My Intro [/url=http://www.nsra.org.uk/newforum/showthread.php?t=419]
Try: My Intro (http://www.nsra.org.uk/newforum/showthread.php?t=419)
Hmmm, now how do I show that?
{url=http://www.nsra.org.uk/newforum/showthread.php?t=419] My Intro [/url**
You slashed in your first URL, but should have done it in the second one! Copy the above line, but change the first squiggle and last two stars to an open and a close square bracket.
Thanks rem, Ok have done but still hasn't worked, any more ideas.
I'm fairly sure this didn't work!!!?

nope that doesnt work either as you can see by my sig.
I think again, that it is that the codes are not enabled in the signature box, another thing that Doug is looking into.
Cos if I cut and paste Dusty's post, it looks like this:-
My Intro (http://www.nsra.org.uk/newforum/showthread.php?t=377)
which does work, but once it's in the signature it doesn't want to 'code'

tony why does sqweaka, ratty's and yours work from your sig?
Funnily enough I just noticed that Sqweaka's was working.
I assume everyone has enabled their WYSIWYG
If not, follow the instructions here:-
http://www.nsra.org.uk/forum_help_users2.htm
This should (I think) resolve all your issues.
Pretty sure I did the WYSIWIG for the photo at the start of the thread...are we off topic yet???!

Thanks rem, Ok have done but still hasn't worked, any more ideas.
Well, the only difference I can see is that I have a space before and after My Intro. It may be what someone else said, that it only works in the main text, but not in the Signature. Try it in a reply?
There are also lots of tick boxes to tick or un-tick for various options in the User CP, so there might be something in there?
are we off topic yet???!
So far off topic that you'll need a map to find your way back!!!!!
But it's gonna be a common question from various people hence leaving it up.

So how come Squweaka got his to work???
scottie, have you tried changing the [url /url bits to img instead?
It is possible to add an image to the thread direct from my PC rather than using a 3rd party hosting site? I've tried value but from what i can work out the link from the uploaded image will only provide another link to the image ( just like having a thumbnail).
here is a page with a list of code examples which *should* work
http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/misc.php?do=bbcode#url
I couldn't get it to work:(
[quote=Ratty;1513]Oooo , did I start a trend ? :D
If you were first, then it would seem so...an excellent idea we should all follow. Many thanks to Sqweaka for his help...it seems that he has some "permissions" activated that I don't. I know that Doug is busy so I will wait patiently for the time when the avatars and sigs are sorted. I understand that it is more important to get every one on here first, so no worries.
