SSR can confirm that the 40th Wheelsday (2014) will take place at a new and bigger site.

The new site will be no other than that of Dunsfold Park, Surrey. Yes Dunsfold park, the one used for the "Wings and Wheels" show, oh and as well as the Top Gear test track.

Date - Good Friday 18/04/2014.

We are still in the early stages of planning but the site has been booked (one step at a time).

The club has a lot of things in the pipeline for the 40th show, so keep an eye out on here and other forums. We shall update you as the year goes on.

However, one thing we can confirm is that "NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED". Yes we have said it in the past and we have been laxeds on this but we are on a new site and the owners have stipulated this right from the outset. So we have to obey it.

Therefore, we will be inforcing it, so if you turn up with a dog you will not be allowed in and turned away (We will not have to worry about clogging up the main roads as there is plenty of area for us, so checks will be inforced). If you manage to get in with a dog and are walking round with you will be escorted off site. If you get in and leave a dog in your vehicle, the relevant autorities will be there to save your dog, with out giving a second thought to your vehicle. Before anyone asks this is for the four legged kind of dog:D . We have had a lot of grief about this in the past so please help us to keep the show going and in helping lots of charities, by not bringing your dogs.

Cheers and see your there.

As it happens you are both rightish! Dunsfold Park have now decided we can use both gates.
GU6 8TB gate will be used for those travelling from Guildford (A281 traffic light junction) and Godalming B2130 and GU6 8HY gate will be used for those travelling from the Horsham direction. Well that's the game plan today, but then we still haven't got all the details ironed out with Dunsfold Park yet so I would advise you all to watch the forum or go to www.facebook.com/surreystreetrodders for updates as they happen.

I suppose the SSR have been a bit quiet about Wheels Day 40 to date but the truth is to date there ain't been much to say.
Today that all changed we finally got some answers, no contract but agreement on event layout and more.
We will be posting info as we get it sorted, still no discounted hotels (why won't Premier answer my letters, anyone work for them?) I'm afraid but we have found a local camp site, and possible accommodation in a seafarers rest home (OK seamen jokes please!). The Allard Chrysler will be firing up, Bloodhound will be there, the 40 prizes of 1 years worth of insurance will be awarded by our independent judges to participants they feel are enthusiasts not just big buck wheels. so really you guys have got to be noticed (leave that to you!) to be in with a chance. The usual stalls and a few more, food and this year "drinks and live music" so you must have been good last year. So as before www.facebook.com/surreystreetrodders to keep up!
More soon,

Whiff.
