Been thinking of doing something different for a while in order to raise money for Weston Park Cancer hospital here in Sheffield . As Steel city didn't put a show on this year I thought it should be car based and in Sheffield. I have spoken to Sheffield council and they have agreed to let me put on a London to Brighton style drive with the meeting point being Weston Park in Sheffield. The meeting will start at 9am on Sunday the 27th April 2014 and at 11 we will start to leave the park on a 60 mile drive through the Peak District. The drive will finish in Holmfirth with a cup of tea and a slice of cake or something else to eat
The minimum cost to enter will be £10 per car. As all the money raised will be going straight to Weston Park and as almost everyone in Sheffield knows someone who has been looked after by the staff there I'm sure more generous donations could be made.
As this is the first running of the event there will be a limited number of places and it is only open to vehicles built before 1975.
Pre-entry forms will be ready by Christmas hopefully.
