Well It's almost here and anyone even thinking of attending this event, get yourselves organised now!
Numbers are up on past years, but there are still pitches available on the campsite.
I was talking to Craig the other day and you should all think yourselves very LUCKY that you have someone who is prepared to put himself out in order to organise an event such as this.
Craig does this for the love of Hotrodding and funds most of this event himself, if you appreciate just how much Craig takes on to do this weekend event then if you do attend and you have the chance, drop a couple of quid in a bucket or something to help keep it going!
Craig was also telling me that this year Lakeland District council have insisted (at the last minute) that he carries a public liability insurance to cover the few hours that the cars will be parked up on The Glebe at Bowness, Windermere (Saturday about 12.30 onwards). Craig was struggling to get this covered but following more than a few phone calls, Classicline Insurance has stepped up to provide the required cover, get this, FREE OF CHARGE. Don't all ask them, it was a special favour to keep the event going!
If you want a fantastic weekend or indeed, just a day out then there are not many places in our country that can provide such a fantastic backdrop and include what we all love, Hotrods!
Have a great weekend!
