I don`t know if this is the right place to post this.(if it`s in the wrong thread feel free to delete or move) it`s sort of art I suppose .a part from drawing cartoon cars I build model cars . i`m in the process of building a competition coupe .the coupe is built out of parts from a Tony Nancy kit, the engine is from a MK II Jaguar (which has a crank driven super charger from a Bentley blower ,with Jaguar twin s u carbs).the body is a resin Bantum I had in my model spares stash the first picture is the idea25651
I detailed the engine and made up right zoomie exhaust.
the chassis was made and the rear wheels were painted to look like rough cast the last photo is the model mocked up to see how it would look

here`s a picture of the chassis .if you can see the seat it has a WWII USAF 4 point harness as I thought that would have been the thing they might of used in the 60`s. I removed the parachute from the body as I did n`t like the look of it .I v`e managed to get the body in paint and taped the new parachute in place. there`s still quite a bit to do(fuel lines to be run ,tank ,steering and other bits ad bobs before the body can be mounted

Nicely built atmospheric models Darren. I like the use of the crank driven Bentley blower and SUs, it gives the car a Brit built dragster look from the `60s-`70s .

I don't think there`s ever been a `model section` per-se Russ, but there have been a couple of model build competitions in the past. I guess anyone building a model of a rod, dragster, custom etc would be more than welcome to show them in the `Hotrod Art` section...

They look good. Together, they`d make a neat drag strip `start line` diorama too! :thumbs_up_smiley:...
