Here's one for yer... Good running '46 Cadillac 346 cu in (5,670 cc) flathead V8 engine, what they worth? It'll come with g/box, prop, rear end. Anyone any ideas what they'll fetch, gotta be worth a few quid to a nostalgia builder surely, I've heard it running and there's not a rattle or noise comes from it, it's about as quiet as they come! Didn't Cadillac use the Ford V8, it's the same engine isn't it?........ Replies on here or message me if you'd rather, if interested in it..... Ta!

Hi Micky. Cad flathead isn't the same as Ford.

Found that out now...
Right, it's a (44,000 km) 27,500 mile only, silky smooooth '46 Cadillac 346 cu in (5.7 L) V8, with a 3-speed selective synchromesh manual gearbox, normal prop-shaft to a leaf-sprung rear axle. The car is 80'' wide, I haven't had chance to measure backing plate to backing plate as yet, but it gives you a good idea. The car has been started, maintained, new brakes, dizzy cap etc, it's had all work done to it to keep it a good driver/runner, but has been garaged stored on and off for the last 10yrs or so, hence the low mileage and general condition of the whole car.
Have a think what you think its worth, and make me an honest offer if you're interested, not out to rob anybody, especially fellow hotrodders, but would just like to sell it and put the money towards the rest of the build of the car, it certainly is too nice an engine to pass on if you fancy a nostalgic engine/trans/running gear.

Hi. A long shot from last year I know but did the flathead caddy engine sell? and did it ever get used? or could it be for sale again?
