Won`t the ANPR cameras only prove that the car was there and it`s insurance/road tax status and possibly how long it`s in the station, and not what the Mot guy actually does?.

Either way, yet another `Big Brother` step!...

Either way, yet another `Big Brother` step!...

Plus a visual check for DVSA of appearance against logbook details for instance a RS appearance against an L logbook or a roadster against a saloon book. Theses things are currently meant to be picked up by the tester.
