Hi can anyone tell me how/where I can get a pair of Torq thrust D wheel re drilled from 120.65 x5 pcd to 127x5 pcd. I need some 4 or 4.5 wides for the front of my ride and cannot get 127x5 anywhere NHT's said approx 9 month wait for special drilled from states.

I cant use adaptors as wheel will be too far out, I have a backspace of 2.25 inches and the D's have a 2.16 incj Backspace just right but only in 114 or 120.65 pcd.

If I can get them done I can then go 15's and 17's.

Cheers

Might be better to list your requirements in imperial as that’s what most on here are familiar with,
you have 4.75’ Chevy and require 5’ x 5 stud?
don’t rely on what north hants tell as you gospel as they took 5 months to bring a pair of slicks over for me that everywhere in the US listed as in stock?

do your own research as 5’ are most likely stocked,
Crumble on here could possibly get them or simply import yourself, it isn’t as hard as you think.

Yeah my hubs are 5x5 but can only find 15x4 in 4.75 or 4.50. I have had a look in the states for torg thrust but only seems to be in a 15x7 and that's too wide for my front arches.

Will have another look, I've tried summit, American racing wont sell direct.

Have you thought about modifying your hubs like this to 4.75" PCD as per #11.

Hi Ford34/2 they are fronts on a 1949 AC saloon, I will stick a pic on here of hub so it is better to understand why I don't think I can get them re drilled. I cant see pic as not got enough privileges yet? waiting for membership.

Brading same as above not sure it will work.

I see you say on the other forum that the backs are tapered you can get them spot faced so that you will end up with a flat surface for the top hat bush.

If they are the later type TTDs with taper seat holes then you can't get them re-drilled or unilug them because of the taper, unless you have the wheel holes recessed to flat & have an oval washer recess machined into them. Then you can use unilug washers to hold them in the correct pcd position. Probably easier to get the hubs done as said above.

Thats what i had done to my 105e hubs going to 5 stud,
the backs where tapered so spot faced for the stud to go through at 90 deg to the face,
got a pic but no idea how to post it

Hi Guys
Here's a pic or 2 of my hub. Had a measure it looks like there is just enough room before the taper to go to 4.75. Just a thought is it possible to just drill a set of holes between the existing studs and grind the old ones flat?

Anyway here are they pics or not as it goes. I cant seem to see how to upload. However they are on Rods and Sods if someone want to look. https://www.rodsnsods.co.uk/threads/drilling-new-pcd-on-torq-thrust-d-wheels.558620/unread

Try grinding the heads of the studs flush with the surface of the hub & then knock the studs back out of their holes. What threads are they? As I said before, late type TTDs will have a taper seat & if your studs are BSF or whitworth you won't get nuts to suit, so fit 1/2" UNF studs so you can get the right nuts, I may be able to help there! LOL.

if you look at the 'back' pic the studs look like jag irs ones that are screwed in from the front face and 'peened' over at the back with what looks like a chisel so they don't unscrew. if so you won't knock them for sure. if the front's are cut off flush they can stay there, or cut the bit off the back and unscrew them.

Hi Tee and Neil

I think the suds are press fitted as they seem to have no threaded shank in the hub. I have a few so I will try one and see.

I would go for the later UNF type of studs when I find some to drill hub 2 engineering firm so far have said NO.

You could ask on here and on the other side if anyone knows of a firm that could carry out the job in your area. When you find one they would more than likely be able to turn down the backside shoulder down a bit to make sure the new studs fit flush if necessary.

Yeah good idea, so anyone know a good firm in the Kent/Sussex area that could change the pcd on my hubs? I tried a couple but no joy from them.

If Trevd cannot help you out you could try Burnham Autos.
