1972 Ford Mustang Fastback.
Nice all round condition and drives lovely.
Imported from Tennessee in 2018, before Tennessee I believe it was an Ohio car all its life.
I also have a copy of the US title from Ohio.
Bodywork is very good , all lower sections which are usually common problems on all classic Mustangs are very good, one small little bubble on boot lid lip area.
Underneath doesn’t look like it’s ever been welded and not caked in gallons of underseal like some are, all looks solid underneath , you’re welcome to check for yourself if viewing as I’m no metal expert but looks excellent to me.
Paint is good and looks stunning, painted in 2016, definitely not concourse though, some microblistering in places and a few blemishes to be expected but only noticeable up close, nice driver quality I think is the term everyone uses.
302 V8, it’s the original engine, numbers on the block match vin(I have photos if needed when the engine was out, rebuilt shortly after it entered the U.K. , excellent strong running engine with no issues and is a lot of fun to drive with decent power.
I drive my cars most weekends when the weather is nice so it’s not a car that just sits around.
Exhaust has a nice rumble, not overly loud, still has the factory style single exhaust system.
C4 Automatic 3 speed transmission, shifts perfect with no issues.
Power steering.
Power brakes.
15” American Racing Torq Thrust D wheels in good condition, not kerbed but have a few light marks.
15 x 8 rear
15 x 6 front
Tyres all have excellent tread, new rears were recently put on.
295/50/15 rear
215/65/15 front
Black interior in excellent condition, headlining all good, interior looks all factory original apart from the steering wheel.
Glass all good.
V5 present and in my name.
Vin number all correct on dash and matching…..
Paperwork
Dash vin
Numbers on the block
Buck tag in the engine bay
Driver’s side door sticker.
Only other bad points worth mentioning….
Slight power steering leak when parked up.
Front passenger side has a slight creak/squeak, only does it when a passenger is in the car, doesn’t happen when driving alone.
So to conclude it’s a nice old car in good condition and ready to use, you could probably do a few bits of minor detailing in places just to take it to the next level but still nice enough as is.
PM me if you want to see a few walkround videos.
£23,995 ono
Open to a near offer, although any half decent 65-73 Fastback nowadays under £25k is good value in my opinion.
Not really interested in a swap as there’s sometime else I want although I’m on the lookout for a new daily so may be open to something around £4-5k ish but must be Ulez compliant and petrol, doesn’t have to be American.
Located in West London.
Any questions please ask.
Thanks for looking.
