On the 18th June (a Wednesday night) The Coventry & Warwickshire Motor Club will be holding its annual 'Wheels Display Evening' at the Blue Lias Inn (http://www.bluelias.com), just down the road from Long Itch to Stockton.

This is a great local show with a wonderful variety of machinery, from classics and exotica to kit cars and hot rods. Entrance is FREE and you get to vote for best vehicle in a number of classes. And the food's good too! Details will be posted at http://www.cwmc.org.uk/cwmc/Wheels.htm, although at present it's still last year's page.

Here're some photos from last year:

Just had an email through from the organisers, thought I'd post it for anyone not on the mailing list:

Hi Folks,

The Wheels web page http://cwmc.org.uk/cwmc/Wheels.htm has now been updated and you can start to register vehicles you wish to bring and enter in the event (let me know if you have trouble registering and I'll try and sort it). Remember to enter enough details that we can identify you and your vehicle in case you win a prize. You can just enter a full stop "." in the address and post code fields on the entry form if you don’t want us to know where you live, but please remember an email address or phone number.

We want everyone to pre-register for the event again, just in case the field is flooded once more and another last minute postponement has to be done via an email to the mailing list. Registrations via the web page will be accepted up to 1700 on the day of the event.

Please print off the poster PDF file and use it to advertise the event.

The format is pretty much same as last year. Remember to print off your entry number and voting forms before you come, and to bring them and a pen on the night. Please do some voting, otherwise we'll just pick the ones we like!

Please be careful entering and leaving the event, watch out for people and other vehicles milling about. Those of you with the capability…no static burnouts at the exit please, too much risk of chewing up tarmac and/or pebble-dashing spectators/other vehicles (although should you happen to spin up whilst accelerating off up the road that is your worry but please don’t fishtail it into anything or anyone).

This year the event will be in support of the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (http://www.wnaa.co.uk/). We are hoping to have some fund raisers from WNAA attending the event, so please give them loads of money and buy any WNAA merchandise they might be selling.

More details will follow nearer the event…

Cheers
Graham Gould

I was thinking about that. Guess it's a question of how many folk will have time to get home, get their car and head into Banbury(?) in time to trundle up to the Blue Lias....Who'd be up for it?
