not overly keen on the bug lights, maybe if he'd used genuine ones it would look better.
Other than that...

Looking at the other pics your right, deffo 911 rims. Not 100% sure about the lenses though. 911 lenses have a sort of peak at the top that follows the rim, doesnt look like they do. Early ones may be different though.
Still think it would look better with early, non directional oval beetle lenses, they'll fit straight in :)

Unless he changed them during the build, I,m pretty sure those are early VW units with sealed beams. I sold him them. Although they do look like early US spec 911 parts.

This car belongs to my mate Stuart Seymour from Hamilton. It's the second Pop he has built (and his first was also very tidy) and there is an incredible number of detail mods on this one.
It definately started out as an unfinished rodded Pop, but Stuart has virtually rebuilt everything on the car. It has a modified Prefect crocodile bonnet, the grille is entirely handmade, the boot aperture has been shaved, the doors suicided with hidden hinges and corners rounded, steel sills welded in, bootlid side opening on hidden hinges and the list goes on.
Stuart is a welder by profession so it goes without saying that all the welding on the chassis and body is done to an extremely high standard throughout. It runs a Rover with 4 barrel carb and manual gearbox, narrowed Vitesse front suspension and (I think) 9" Ford rear.
Stuart has done absolutely everything on the car including the interior with the dash finished with a beautifully blended-in Corsa instrument housing.
It looks even better in the steel than in a photograph!

Some pics of Stuart's Pop. I had to reduce the quality way, way down before I could attach them.
